Scripture Encouragement:📖 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”—Psalm 32:8 (NIV)
It’s very easy to get discouraged when you're doing something for the first time and don’t know exactly what to do. Whether it's starting a new job, stepping into ministry, parenting teenagers, or trying to assemble that “simple” IKEA shelf—you can feel like you're stumbling in the dark with no instruction manual… or worse, a manual that’s in Swedish!
And let’s be honest—it’s just as easy to get frustrated with people around us who also don’t seem to know what to do. You’re looking for answers, and all you’re getting is blank stares and shoulder shrugs.
But here's the good news: Thank God for the people He sends who do know what to do. Helpers, mentors, guides, and yes—even YouTube tutorials.
And most importantly, thank God that He Himself knows what to do.Even when we don’t.Even when they don’t.Even when nobody seems to.
We serve a God who is never confused, never out of ideas, and never caught off guard. He knows the plan, the process, and the purpose behind every twist and turn.
Trying to figure life out without God is like trying to bake a cake without a recipe, without ingredients, and without an oven… while blindfolded… and your dog is your assistant.
You might end up with something edible… but chances are, you’re going to set off the smoke alarm and need serious cleanup afterward!
But when God is in the kitchen—He brings the recipe, the ingredients, the tools, and the fire of the Holy Spirit. All you need to do is follow His lead.
Final Encouragement:Don’t let first-time frustrations make you quit. God specializes in firsts—He’s the Alpha! You may feel clueless, but He knows the end from the beginning. Trust Him. Talk to Him. Let Him instruct you.
You’ve never been this way before… but He has.
